Dikir meets acappella as Singapore's performers sing the last decade's Malay hits at Esplanade Concourse — free on 31 Oct.
Dikir barat gets a different texture here: the singing folds in acappella, and the setlist is drawn from popular Malay songs of the last ten years. Both newer and more established dikir performers share the stage, so you get fresh voices alongside names that have been at it a while. It is presented by Norazam Hakub (Andika Kencana) and the Singapore Dikir Barat Federation, in collaboration with Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay.
The performance runs 30 minutes inside a 6.15pm to 8.15pm window on Saturday 31 Oct 2026, at Esplanade Concourse on 1 Esplanade Drive. Everything is sung in Malay, and admission is free — the stated admission age is 6 and above. An easy one to slot into a Saturday evening by the waterfront, no ticket required.
