When are the 2026 year-end school holidays?+
For primary and secondary schools, the 2026 school year ends on Friday 20 November and the holidays run from Saturday 21 November to Thursday 31 December 2026. JC and MI holidays run from 28 November to 31 December. Schools used as O-Level venues had their last day on 23 October.
When does school start in 2027?+
Term 1 starts on Monday 4 January 2027 for P1 and K1, and on Tuesday 5 January for P2 to P6 and K2.
What can kids do for free in the school holidays?+
The Children’s Garden at Gardens by the Bay is free and opens Tuesday to Sunday in the holidays. The Orchard Road Christmas lights and the Jewel Rain Vortex show cost nothing in December, and the free events below are updated daily.
