An interactive 40-minute classical concert for children new to the music, with an animateur leading Beethoven and Schubert at Esplanade.
Saying goodbye is the thread running through this one, and it is a big idea to hand a child — which is exactly the point. Swan Songs ~ Beethoven & Schubert is an interactive concert written for children who are new to classical music, and the theme is the swan song: the farewell. An animateur presents it together with the musicians, so nobody is left sitting quietly wondering what is going on. The players come from Singapore, Canada, Germany and the United Kingdom.
It runs on the morning of Sunday 6 Dec 2026, from 10am to 10.40am, at the Esplanade Recital Studio on Esplanade Drive. Tickets are S$35, it is all in English, and the whole thing is over in 40 minutes flat — a first concert that fits inside a child's attention span with room to spare.
