Dr Janil Puthucheary gives the keynote at the New Life Youth Forum, where the question on the table is how to untrash nature.

The New Life Youth Forum takes on a question with no tidy answer: Untrashing Nature: How Can It Be Done? Dr Janil Puthucheary, Senior Minister of State for both the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment, delivers the keynote as Guest of Honour, with Chia Ko Wen joining as panellist. It is a room built for people who want the environment conversation to move past slogans and into something workable.

It runs Sat 24 Oct 2026, 10am to 12pm, at Central Library in the National Library Building — Programme Room 1 and 2 plus the Immersive Room, all down at Basement 1. The forum is aimed at teenagers aged 13 to 17 and young adults aged 18 to 35, so bring your schoolmates or your uni group chat. Two hours, one topic, a keynote and a panel to chew on it.
