Run together at Yellow Ribbon Parent-Child Run 2026 on 20 Sep at The Great Eastern Promenade.

The Yellow Ribbon Run has always been about second chances, and for 2026 it moves into the city for the first time, with the route circling the National Stadium. The Parent-Child Run returns as a new category this year: 888m, one adult aged 18 and above paired with one child aged 4 to 12. It is a short, shared stretch rather than a race, and it flags off at 9.15am from The Great Eastern Promenade at The Kallang, 6 Stadium Walk, Level 3. The rest of the morning runs earlier — the 10km at 7am, the 5km at 7.45am, with the stage programme and activities starting at 8am and the event wrapping at 11am.

If you are running without a child in tow, the 5km takes ages 10 and above, and the 10km takes ages 14 and above; anyone under 18 needs parental consent. Pricing is tiered: 5km at S$40 early bird or S$45 standard, 10km at S$50 early bird or S$55 standard, and the Parent-Child Run at S$40 early bird or S$50 standard. Groups of five get their own rate — S$200 for the 5km, S$250 for the 10km. Registration is closed, so if you are already in, the details above are what you need; if you are not, enquiries go to enquiry@yellowribbonrun.sg.

The morning is not only about the run. A carnival runs alongside the flag-offs and stage programme, so the Great Eastern Promenade will have more than just start and finish lines. It is all in support of the reintegration of ex-offenders and a more inclusive society — a cause that gives the 888m its meaning, and the reason the Parent-Child category exists in the first place.

With the 10km and 5km done before the Parent-Child Run even starts, families can arrive closer to 9am without missing the main action. The whole event ends at 11am, leaving the rest of Sunday free.
