An hour with Estill Mentor Aaron Lim, taking apart what you think you know about singing. Esplanade Black Room, Sat 5 Dec, 2pm, S$15.
Singapore-based Aaron Lim, an Estill Mentor and Course Instructor, spends an hour at the Esplanade Black Room on Sat 5 Dec taking apart the ideas most of us carry around about our own singing. His session is titled Your Voice. Your Way., and it works as an introduction to Estill Voice Training, built to challenge the common beliefs that shape how people approach their voice. It is the English half of Voices of You, which pairs it with a second interactive vocal workshop in Mandarin, also led by Lim.
The session begins at 2pm at 1 Esplanade Drive and runs an hour. Tickets are S$15, and admission starts at age 8 — so a household with a kid who already sings around the flat has a reason to turn up together. Come with the questions you have always had about your own voice and an hour to spend on them.
