Go on an insect-spotting expedition at Gardens by the Bay's community garden, learn their roles in urban spaces, and reflect on living better with them. Ages 8 and up.
Calling all curious kids and their grown-ups — this Wednesday afternoon, the Ficus Room at Gardens by the Bay's community garden becomes base camp for Tiny Garden Heroes: An Insect Expedition. You'll set off to spot the tiny critters that keep the city's green spaces buzzing, and learn how each one pulls its weight in an urban garden. The workshop wraps up with a reflection on how we can all live a little more harmoniously with six-legged neighbours — better for them, and better for us.
It's a 4.00pm — 5.00pm session lasting about an hour, and it's perfect for anyone aged 8 and above (so yes, adults can tag along too). Tickets are S$35, but pre-registration is required and slots are first come, first served — so if this sounds like your family's kind of afternoon, chope your spot early.
