Manisha's murukku come out lumpy and broken, so Twisty the Murukku Genie-us drops by. A free 30-minute storytelling show for ages 6 and up.
Manisha is helping Amma with the yearly murukku-making before Deepavali, and eventually she gets a turn to shape her own in the hot oil. Hers come out uneven, broken and lumpy next to Amma's neat, symmetrical ones, and she stops trying, disappointed. That night Twisty the Murukku Genie-us pays her a visit. It is a 30-minute storytelling session in English, performed by a Singapore cast.
Catch it at PIP's PLAYbox at 1 Esplanade Drive, running from Sat 21 Nov through to Sun 29 Nov 2026, opening at 11.30am on the first day. Entry is free, and the show is pitched at ages 6 and above, so it suits families looking for a short, easy slot to slot into a weekend or a school-holiday afternoon.
