Tandy Lim returns to the Esplanade Concert Hall with an hour of Mandarin favourites stretching from the 1940s to the 1980s.
Tandy Lim is back at the Esplanade Concert Hall on Monday 7 Dec for Through the Years with You, an hour of Mandarin songbook material pulled from the 1940s right through to the 1980s. The set includes Louise Tsuei's "What Can Be Done" among other hits, sung by a Singaporean performer in a programme built with seniors in mind β which makes it a rare chance to hear these decades given a full concert-hall airing rather than a background playlist.
The concert runs 3pm to 4pm, so it's done and dusted well before dinner. Tickets are S$21, admission is from age 6, and everything is sung in Mandarin. If your parents or grandparents grew up on this era of music, this is the sort of thing worth choping an afternoon for β and at an hour flat, it won't outstay its welcome.
