Tarenna Collective plays new music about memory and place, with composer Ong Ping Din, at Esplanade Recital Studio.
An hour of music about the places we carry around in our heads. Tarenna Collective, a Singapore ensemble, performs there and then at the Esplanade Recital Studio on Tue 13 Oct 2026 at 8pm — one set, one hour, no interval in between.
The concert is a collaboration with Singaporean composer Ong Ping Din, who took the top spot in Composer's Drawing Board Vol. 2, the commissioning call the Esplanade stages once every two years. That edition of the programme comes with support from the National Arts Council and the Tote Board Arts Fund.
The through-line is memory and place: how music can hold an impression of somewhere you have been, and how it can just as easily reshape the worlds people live in, whether that is now or some time well before us. Tickets start at S$24, admission is for ages 6 and above, and the event sits under Popaholic 2026.
