Four writers β two migrant, two local β take you on a literary walk through the Civic District, sharing stories and new work written for the festival.
The Civic District gets a second reading in this literary walk, led each time by two migrant authors and two local ones. Across the route they share stories, poems and vignettes, including new pieces written specially for Singapore Writers Festival 2026. What you get is one stretch of city seen four ways at once β the same streets, monuments and corners filtered through four very different sets of eyes, which is the whole point of the thing.
It runs twice, on each weekend of the festival: Sunday 15 Nov at 5pm and Sunday 22 Nov at 10am, with The Arts House at the Old Parliament as the venue. Both walks are free and conducted in English, so all you have to sort out is which of the two dates suits your calendar β the evening edition or the morning one.
