Singapore poets take the Esplanade Concourse with Tamil spoken word, music and verse — and they pick the poems themselves.
Poetry where the poets call the shots: கவிப்படை brings several Singapore voices to the Esplanade Concourse, each choosing their own topics and their own poems rather than working to a single theme. What they share is the delivery — verse, music and spoken word woven into one 30-minute set, with each poet bringing a distinct perspective to the stage.
It happens on Tuesday 24 Nov 2026, starting 7.15pm at the Esplanade Concourse on 1 Esplanade Drive, and it is performed in Tamil. Entry is free, and at half an hour it slots neatly into an evening in the Civic District — thirty minutes of poetry, then dinner.
