The SSO closes its 2026/27 season with E.T., Kapustin's sax-and-drums piano concerto and Rhapsody in Blue, 20–21 May.

Three very different pieces share one programme: John Williams's music for Steven Spielberg's 1981 film E.T., Kapustin's Piano Concerto No. 2, and Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue. The Kapustin is the one to watch β€” it writes saxophones, drum set and guitar into the orchestra, which is not where you usually find them. It doubles as the SSO's season closer for 2026/27, with a Singapore orchestra on the Esplanade Concert Hall stage.

Two evenings only: Thu 20 and Fri 21 May 2027, 7.30pm through to 9.20pm β€” 1h 50min in the seat. Tickets sit between S$28 and S$128. Admission is stated as ages 7 and above, and the concert is presented in English.
