A free guided tour of the Singapore Prison Service’s Heritage Gallery, from 1800s prison life to rehabilitation today: three sessions, 25 places each.
The Singapore Prison Service opens the Heritage Gallery at its Upper Changi headquarters for three guided tours over the school holidays. The gallery traces prisons in Singapore from the 1800s to now: what prison life looked like before the war, how the service grew from simply holding inmates into a correctional agency, and how custody and rehabilitation work today to keep people from re-offending.
Tours run 10am to 12pm on Mon 23 Nov, Wed 2 Dec and Mon 7 Dec 2026. They are free, but each takes only 25 people and there are no walk-ins: register one person per form, first come, first served, and wait for a confirmation email before you go. Children 12 and under need a parent or guardian, with at most two children per adult. The form asks for your full NRIC.
