Songs of the Bulbul brings UK-based dancer Aakash Odedra to the Singtel Waterfront Theatre at Esplanade for a single evening. The work is choreographed by Rani Khanam with music composed by Rushil Ranjan, and takes its story from an old Sufi myth about a bulbul kept in captivity. Dance, score and myth sit together across one continuous hour.
