Local comics, established and new, take aim at family habits and the relatives who never change — 90 minutes at The Arts House.
Singapore Shenanigans returns for an “It’s All Relative” Edition, with established and newer local comedians working the same subject: the family you didn’t pick. The material digs into family habits and traditions — the relative who keeps absolutely everything, the seating arrangement at gatherings that nobody has ever questioned, the family member who trots out the same anecdote every single time. It is a room full of people nodding at things they have lived through.
It runs Friday 13 Nov 2026, 8.30pm to 10pm, at The Arts House at the Old Parliament, presented as part of Singapore Writers Festival 2026. Ninety minutes, a Friday night, and a subject everyone in the audience has a stake in — bring the friend who always has a story about their extended family, or come alone and take notes.
