Kathak and Indian classical vocals share a bill with keyboard and live electronics at Esplanade Concourse — free, 30 minutes, one evening only.
Kathak footwork and Indian classical vocals on one side, keyboard and live electronics on the other — Samyuti: A Confluence puts them in the same room and sees what happens. The performance is built around the meeting point of Western and Indian artistic traditions, with Singapore-based performers carrying both halves of the conversation. It runs 30 minutes, which is about as long as a good idea needs.
Catch it at Esplanade Concourse on Thursday 26 Nov 2026, starting 7.15pm. Entry is free, so there's nothing to weigh up beyond turning up — and with a half-hour running time it slots easily into an evening in town, before dinner or after. One for anyone who likes their classical forms with a bit of rewiring.
