Poets and rappers share a stage to talk rhythm, metaphor and spoken storytelling at The Arts House.
Poetry and rap have been borrowing from each other for decades, and this panel puts the two in the same room to say so out loud. Poets and rappers come together at The Arts House at the Old Parliament to pick apart what they share — rhythm, metaphor and spoken storytelling — and to look at rap as a poetic form in its own right, and poetry as something built to be performed rather than read silently.
It runs Saturday 21 Nov 2026, 8.30pm to 10pm, part of Singapore Writers Festival 2026 and listed under the festival's Share Programme. One for anyone who writes, rhymes or just wants to hear the craft argued over by people who practise it.
