Nobuyuki Tsujii takes on Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 3 with the SSO under Hannu Lintu.
Blind from birth, Japanese pianist Nobuyuki Tsujii has made a career of defying expectations — and his Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No. 3 is the kind of Everest that separates legends from mere mortals. Here he teams up with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra under Music Director Hannu Lintu for a performance that promises fireworks.
The concert also features John Adams's Harmonielehre, a work inspired by a dream of a supertanker launching from the San Francisco Bay — a tie-in that shifts from intimate virtuosity to bold, orchestral abstraction. You'll hear it all in one evening.
It happens at the Esplanade Concert Hall on Thursday 6 May 2027 at 7.30pm, with a running time of 1h 50min including one interval. Tickets are S$15–100, and admission is for ages 7 and above. Presented by the Singapore Symphony Orchestra.
