Singapore Writers Festival 2026 signs off with a closing debate at Victoria Theatre: hide, or hunt for the escape route?
The Singapore Writers Festival 2026 ends its run with an argument rather than a bow: a closing debate on the motion "This House Believes that the Better Strategy is Hide but Not Seek". The scenario under it is a proper one — you are trapped in an unfamiliar building with a killer at large — and the question on the floor is whether concealing your intentions or taking every opportunity in front of you is what actually gets a person out.
It runs Sunday 22 November 2026 at Victoria Theatre, 6.30pm to 8pm. Ninety minutes is enough time to hear both sides out and still swap your position on the walk to the MRT.
