🧭 Getting there

  • 🚇 Bayfront MRT, Exit B — about 4 min walk

Walking times are estimates from the venue’s location.

Soil microbes get the storytelling treatment, plus hands-on soil and compost and an outdoor walk, at this parent–child workshop for ages 4–9.

Cuifen Pui and Dorcas Tang run this one, and they come at soil microbes through stories first — the small, unseen stuff that does the work, told rather than diagrammed. Then comes the part the kids will actually remember: hands in soil and compost, working out how microbes break organic material down into the stuff plants grow on.

It runs Sunday 22 Nov 2026, 2.30pm to 4pm, in the Ficus Room at Active Garden, Gardens by the Bay. There is an outdoor walk folded into the session as well, so nobody stays in the room the whole time. Built for ages 4 to 9, with a parent in tow.
