Songs by Ilaiyaraaja and A.R. Rahman, plus Hindi film numbers, reworked for voice, keyboard and percussion — free at Esplanade Concourse.
An Indian Girl's Mixtape is a 30-minute stage performance built on a simple, slightly rebellious idea: take songs by Ilaiyaraaja and A.R. Rahman, add Hindi film numbers to the pile, and refuse to play any of them the way you remember. Everything is rearranged for voice, keyboard and percussion, with each track shifted into a genre that has nothing to do with the original. Not one song keeps its original style.
The set runs at Esplanade Concourse on Friday 20 November 2026, starting 7.15pm. The performers are Singapore-based, and entry is free — an easy 30 minutes to fold into a Friday evening along the waterfront at 1 Esplanade Drive.
