Yip Yew Chong: Live Painting at IMBA Theatre

Yip Yew Chong is painting live at IMBA Theatre across five days, 21 to 25 Oct, and the canvas is a big one — 2.5m by 1.5m. He will put in 30 hours at the easel over those days, building a panoramic night view of present-day Singapore: Gardens by the Bay in the foreground, IMBA worked into the landscape, and the lit-up city stretching into the distance. It follows his 2023 I Paint my Singapore series.

Catch him from 12pm to 6pm each day at IMBA Theatre on the West Lawn, beside Bayfront Plaza at Gardens by the Bay, 18 Marina Gardens Drive. Entry is free, and five days of sessions means you can drop in on Wednesday and again on the weekend to see how much of the city has filled in.
