A classic dance drama at Central Arts Library: a ballerina torn between romance and artistic perfection, Thu 29 Oct, 6.30pm.
Every two weeks, Central Arts Library sets aside an evening for a film. The 29 Oct edition carries the theme Raising the Barre and screens a classic dance drama, its story following a ballerina pulled between a romance and her aim of reaching artistic perfection. It's rated PG, and a trailer is out if you'd like a look before you commit the evening.
The screening runs Thu 29 Oct 2026, from 6.30pm to 9pm, in the Imagination Room on Level 5 of the National Library Building. It's in English and pitched at adults β young adults aged 18 to 35 as well as the 36 to 49 set. Two and a half hours, one film, and a theme to hang the night on.
