Sunflower Surprise 2026

This year, the Flower Dome turns Portuguese. Sunflower Surprise 2026 fills the space with hand-painted azulejos — those iconic blue-and-white tiles — alongside the usual explosion of sunflowers. It's a visual mashup that's part garden show, part cultural deep-dive, and a solid reason to clear a Friday morning.

The display runs from Fri 9 Oct to Mon 9 Nov, open daily from 9am to 9pm. Entry is at the Flower Dome, Gardens by the Bay, so you can pair it with a stroll through the rest of the gardens. Note: tripods and camera stands are banned in Floral Fantasy — so pack light if you're planning to shoot. Also, if you're cycling to Marina Barrage, take an alternative route around Bay South Garden due to construction; pedestrians can still use the Waterfront Promenade with a slight detour.

This works for anyone who digs flowers, culture, or just needs a colourful excuse to get out. And if you're a petrolhead, the F1 exhibition is also on at Gardens by the Bay for the first time in Asia — could make for a two-in-one outing.
