Let's Explore the Neighbourhood: December

Dhoby Ghaut and Bras Basah hold plenty of history, and this walk tells it through stories and local perspectives rather than plaques on a wall. It's a community heritage trail that runs 2.5 hours on foot, shaped around the connections between the people along the way. The route starts from Temasek Shophouse on Orchard Road and covers Orchard, Dhoby Ghaut and Bras Basah.

It runs Sat 12 Dec, 4pm to 6.30pm, which leaves the rest of your evening wide open. Being a walking route across three districts, wear something you don't mind putting distance in. It suits anyone who'd rather hear a neighbourhood's story from the people in it than read it off a signboard.
