Basic Military Training Children's Edition (B.M.T.C.E)

Give your young trooper a taste of army life with this 3-day, 2-night adventure camp for kids aged 5 to 12 at SAFRA Yishun. Expect military drills and songs, tent and basha building, outdoor cooking, jungle navigation and basic self-defence – plus a special moment where kids craft a personalised appreciation gift for family members who served National Service. Parents sit this one out, but can attend the Passing Out Parade on Day 3 (6pm) to see their little ones graduate.

The 12–14 Oct intake is the next one with places left (19–21 Jun and 6–8 Sep are fully registered), followed by 25–27 Nov and 29 Nov–1 Dec. Check-in is 8.30am on Day 1. Fees are S$136.25 for SAFRA members and S$168.95 for guests, GST included, covering two army T-shirts, a utility bag and a green military hat with badge. Registration is first-come, first-served with no refunds – so secure a spot fast if this sounds like your kid's idea of shiok.
