Under S$30: This Week’s Best Cheap Thrills in Singapore
A S$10 feelings circle, a S$25 cult-wine tasting and S$29 dialect speed dating — proof this city can be fun without wrecking your wallet.

"Singapore so expensive" is the national anthem, but this week quietly disagrees. Here are three genuinely good plans, all under thirty dollars — less than what some places charge for two cocktails.
S$10 — Circle of Feelings: Love Edition (Sat 15 Aug, 7pm, Proud Spaces SG). A guided circle about love, for the price of a fancy sandwich. The cheapest therapy-adjacent evening in town, and you might leave with new friends who already know your secrets.
S$25 — Sami-Odi Wine Tasting (Sat 15 Aug, 3–5pm, Flamingo Coffee & Wine, 68 Amoy St). Sami-Odi is the kind of small Barossa producer collectors hunt for, and two hours with their pours at this price is honestly a steal. Wear something that says "I do this often."
S$29 — Chinese Dialect Speed Dating (Mon 10 Aug, 2pm, near Stevens MRT). A public holiday special and reportedly Singapore’s first of its kind — flirt in Hokkien or Cantonese and let the awkwardness do the bonding. Cheaper than a first-date dinner, with better stories.
Total damage if you do all three: S$64 and one very full long weekend. Forward this to the friend who always says they’re broke — no excuses now.
