Getting Your Cards Graded in Singapore: A Practical Guide

So you've pulled a rare card and you're wondering if it's worth a slab. Or maybe you've been watching graded card prices and thinking about getting into the hobby. Here's the first thing to know: there is no PSA counter in Singapore. But that doesn't mean you're on your own.

PSA's regional intake for this part of the world is the PSA Hong Kong Submission Center, which accepts cards by shipment or by appointment. Most Singapore collectors don't ship directly, though—they go through local dealers who handle the logistics. This guide breaks down your options, what grading actually involves, and where the local community gathers.

The PSA Hong Kong Submission Center

PSA's official submission point for the region is in Hong Kong, not Singapore. You can post cards there yourself, but doing it alone means dealing with international shipping and customs both ways for something small and fragile. It's doable, but most collectors prefer to use a local dealer who collects cards, sends them onward in bulk, and returns the slabs to you.

Local Authorised Dealers

The usual route is a local authorised dealer. PSA lists Oxley Grading Private Limited in its own directory, and Concept Grading states on its own site that it is an official PSA authorised dealer. Red Hobby Grading and SGCardBros run comparable submission services.

Oxley Grading is the most established, with a shopfront at The Cathay. They submit to four graders: PSA, BGS, CGC and TAG. Which grader you pick changes the label, the scale, and who recognises it when you sell. PSA is the most liquid for Pokemon and sports, BGS has the coveted Black Label, CGC is popular for comics and some TCGs, and TAG is tech-forward with a transparent grading report.

Oxley publishes a running count of its submissions: 4,940 PSA, 364 BGS (85 Black Labels), 105 CGC, and 105 TAG. That gives you a sense of what's popular.

What Grading Actually Feels Like

Grading is a judgement about condition—centring, corners, edges and surface. Small flaws invisible across a table matter a great deal under a loupe. That's why a card that looks perfect might come back at a 9 instead of a 10.

The process is slow by nature. Your card leaves Singapore, gets graded overseas, and comes back. Plan in weeks and months, not days. If you're submitting through a dealer, they'll handle the logistics, but you'll still be waiting.

The 2027 Pokemon World Championships

Big news: the 2027 Pokemon World Championships will be held in Singapore, the first time the city has hosted. It runs from 13 to 15 August 2027 at Singapore EXPO, with Championship Sunday at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. It's only the fourth time the championships have been held outside the United States.

Even if you're not competing, this is a huge moment for the local hobby—expect more eyes on graded cards and possibly a spike in interest.
