Planning a week with the little ones in tow? We've rounded up 7 events that balance fun with practicality — think indoor spots for rainy days, flexible timing to dodge meltdowns, and prices that won't make you wince. Here's what's worth the trip.

CRYBABY Cry Me An Ocean — this whimsical art installation at Singapore Oceanarium (24 Jun – 30 Aug) is a visual treat for kids and adults alike. Tickets S$43–135. It's indoors, so perfect for a hot afternoon. The little ones will love the cute crying baby characters styled as sea creatures — a fun way to spark conversations about ocean conservation.

SAFRA Swim For Hope — from 10 Jul to 17 Oct, SAFRA clubs across the island host a charity swim. You can join at any of seven locations — Yishun, Toa Payoh, Jurong, Choa Chu Kang, Mount Faber, Tampines, or online. It's a low-pressure way to teach kids about giving back, with flexible sessions that fit around nap times. Check each club's schedule for swim slots.
