Planning the school holidays? The F1® Exhibition Singapore at Gardens by the Bay is a sure win for little car enthusiasts. It's indoors (hello, aircon), and the interactive displays will keep curious minds busy for a good hour or two. Prices start at S$29 for kids, with family bundles also sold. Worth the trip, especially if you make a day of it at the gardens afterwards.

For a totally free afternoon, head to One Holland Village for the Yellow Ribbon Community Arts Festival 2026 on Fri 14 Aug - 20 Aug. It's got arts, activities, and live performances — all outdoors, so bring a hat and some patience for the crowd. The little ones can run around while you enjoy the buzz and learn about a great cause of second chances.

If your crew loves a good market, the Not So Little Fair on Sat 29 Aug at Suntec is a free indoor option. Starts at 10.30am, so you can beat the heat and the queues. Expect shopping, food stalls, and plenty of photo ops. Pram-friendly and MRT-accessible — this one's a no-brainer for a Saturday morning.

Got a mini artist at home? The Photogram Workshop at Objectifs on Sat 22 Aug, 4.30pm, is a hands-on session where kids can make art without a camera. Priced at S$20–S$36 per participant, it's a cool way to spend a late afternoon. Just note it's a workshop, so check age suitability before booking.

The Magical Island Adventure pass on Sentosa is a summer-long pass valid from June to September, perfect for multiple family outings. Whether it's beach time or attractions, this pass unlocks island fun. Bring sunscreen and swimwear!

For a quieter, brainy outing, the Urban Book Club at HV Little Library on Sun 23 Aug, 3pm, is free. It's a book discussion, so probably better for older kids or for you to enjoy solo while they play nearby. But if your child loves stories about cities and nature, this could spark some great conversations.
