Chingay is a lot to take in when you're four — the floats, the crowds, the whole spectacle. My Little Chingay Float condenses it into half an hour at Toa Payoh Library, where a storytelling session walks pre-schoolers through what actually happens at the parade each year, and then lets them make something of their own. It's run by the People's Association, in English.
The session runs 11am to 11.30am on Saturday 10 October 2026, in the Programme Zone on Level 3. It's built for ages 4 to 6 with their parents in tow, so the pace suits short attention spans — half an hour, done before anyone gets restless.
