An outdoor installation celebrating Singapore's heritage at the National Library Building's Plaza, open for five evenings in September.
Lovebug is an outdoor installation at The Plaza, Level 1 of the National Library Building, that celebrates Singapore's heritage. Co-commissioned specifically for this run, it's an evening experience that explores the stories and landmarks that shape our little red dot. With the library as a backdrop and the night air cooling things down, it's a chill way to soak in some local history without feeling like a lecture.
The installation is open from Tuesday 1 September to Saturday 5 September 2026, from 7.00pm to 11.00pm nightly. The venue is right in the heart of the Civic District, so you can easily make a night of it — grab dinner nearby, then wander over. It's designed for young adults aged 18 to 35, so gathering your crew is a must.
