Deirdre Lee's photograph, text and poem Ode to Kueh Salat — pandan, coconut cream, egg custard — on show at Tampines Library this October.
Bite-Sized Stories is an exhibition at Tampines Library built around a photograph, a piece of text and a poem by Deirdre Lee. The poem is Ode to Kueh Salat, and it works through the kueh in pandan, coconut cream and egg custard. It's a small, specific show — one that fits neatly into a library run rather than demanding a whole afternoon.
The exhibition runs the whole of October 2026, from 1 to 31 Oct, at Tampines Library. It's in English, and the listing pitches it at adults: young adults 18–35, adults 36–49, and seniors 50 and above. If you're already in the heartlands and have half an hour spare, this is an easy one to fold into the trip.
